Chapter One
RETURN TO THUNDER VALLEY

The last stand at Chimney Rock saw men and women from all corners of the globe trailing into town for one of the last epic battles of the year in the southwest territory.  The battle was over within days leaving the town empty of people but buildings full of lead.  Boot Hill showed the fresh mounds of dirt dug from several recent graves leaving little other sign there was anyone living within miles of the little shanty town thrown up against the rocky hills.  The high desert winds had blown away the tracks of hundreds of horses and of nearly a hundred wagons leaving only shattered boards, broken windows, and jagged bullet holes as telltale signs of a fierce battle.  Here and there where the wind didn

Chapter Three
BUSHWHACKERS

Rowdy had made good time as he circled Chimney Rock looking for fresh tracks heading towards town, almost too good since he almost missed the meeting of Madd Mike and Just George.  Rowdy had made camp on the northeast end of a little valley and was just getting ready to light a fire when he saw something flickering off in a distance.  There should have been no travelers in this part of the high desert this time of year so naturally it peaked Rowdy
